Gameday Game Recap – Notre Dame vs Florida State

Irish Dominate Seminoles in 52-3 Rout

Outlined against the moon glow of a South Bend autumn evening, Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish soared, dismantling the Florida State Seminoles in a triumphant 52-3 victory. Like knights defending sacred ground, the Irish displayed relentless ferocity, charging forward and leaving the Seminoles scrambling in their wake.

From the opening quarter, the Irish set the tone with a swift 7-point lead, powered by Riley Leonard’s steady command. Notre Dame’s offense, crisp and unyielding, weaved through Florida State’s defense, amassing 453 total yards, while the Seminoles could muster only 208 in return. The Irish’s rushing attack proved unstoppable, with Jadarian Price breaking free for a stunning 65-yard touchdown and R. Leonard powering his way to two additional scores.

By halftime, the score stood at 21-3, and the Seminoles seemed but shadows, dwarfed by Notre Dame’s towering dominance. Every play was a symphony of calculated aggression—every yard a testament to Irish resolve. Jeremiah Love and Deion Colzie each added to the score, pushing Notre Dame to a final, resounding 52-3, as the echoes of their triumph filled the stadium.

On defense, the Irish were unyielding, sacking Florida State’s quarterbacks eight times and seizing two interceptions that further extinguished any hope of a Seminole rally. Florida State’s ground game struggled, managing a mere 120 yards, while the passing game faltered under pressure, completing only 10 of 26 attempts.

As the final seconds slipped away, the scoreboard told the tale—a decisive victory that will long be remembered in the annals of Notre Dame lore, as Luke Talich intercepted the ball and ran iit back 79-yards for the score. The Irish had not merely defeated an opponent; they had reaffirmed their place among the legends, their banners flying high in the autumn air, against a sky touched with the fading hues of evening.
